Over the past few weeks I have been thinking about what is next for Cook Train Eat Race. Where did I want to take this site? Where did I want to take the brand? I rolled it over and over in my head.
I have been asked by my sponsors where I want to go with my brand and my passion to help those fight obesity and work with those that are trying to figure out the diet and exercise equation.
My response was that I want to be a go to site. I want to be a go to person. I imagined myself on the couch with Oprah, then remembered Oprah is done so maybe Ellen talking about eating healthy, exercise and how it serves so many purposes besides losing weight. How feeling good about yourself leads to a more successful career at work, a happier home and a happier you.
With these ideas I turned to my inner circle and started asking questions and suggestions and bouncing ideas off of people. Then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks and I immediately contacted Rita Barry. Rita is a great designer with an eye for detail. I told her what I was planning and how I needed a new logo and a tagline, and new color scheme.
Within two weeks Rita sent me the first draft and I was in heaven, but not satisfied and needed to make some tweeks. Later that day came everything and I was flabbergasted by how good it looked and my mind began racing about Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, business cards and the ultimate place for the logo: team jerseys.
That’s right my readers, I have decided to form Team CTER. We will be racing across the country and while we will be small in numbers we will be big in results. The team will made up of athletes who give it their all and don’t back down from circumstance. They are going to be racing half-iron and iron distance races and will always TRI HARDER.
I spoke with two athletes and both have agreed to join the team and will be racing under the CTER logo for the rest of 2011 and 2012. We will be at 70.3 Ironman Austin, Ironman Texas, 70.3 Ironman Puerto Rico, Ironman Saint George, 70.3 Galveston, Ironman Arizona and a slew of other races.
You will notice a new page at the top of the site that is labeled Team CTER. Inside there you will see our sponsors along with who the athletes are and you can follow their races and results and reports.
I am very excited about starting this team, and even more excited that these two athletes have made the decision to race under the CTER flag.
Thank you to everybody who has supported my dream of taking this brand to the next level. Now go check out the two newest athletes racing for CTER by clicking [HERE]
