Orbana Healthy Energy Review

I have seen a few blogs doing a review of the product Orbana Healthy Energy and I'm going to add to that list. About a month ago I was contacted by Orbana Healthy Energy and they inquired if I would like a product sample.  Always looking for an edge in training as well as the opportunity to help uncover a product that my readers could use so I said yes. [caption id="attachment_4172" align="alignright" width="161" caption="Buy a sachet or 6....."]Orbana_Healthy_Energy_Drink[/caption] Let's give you a little bit of background on Orbana before we get into my review.  Orbana Healthy Energy was born in 2005 when a group with backgrounds in sport, health and nutrition realized a shared common frustration that no good tasting healthy energy drinks existed. Every sport or energy drink was loaded with caffeine, sweeteners, artificial colours and preservatives and tasted synthetic. This inspired them to develop a healthy energy drink for all the other athletes who were looking to give themselves an edge in a healthy way, as well as ourselves.
Committed to doing things the right way – they sought to become part of a testing program which ensured that our product was free of WADA banned substance (which means it’s clean up to Olympic Drug Testing standards) and we worked hard to become the first company to be awarded with the Informed Sport accreditation which was followed by Informed Choice. For me the important part of their about us section is that this product is free of WADA banned substances.  As you may recall, I want my performance on the triathlon course to be all about me and not some drug that was hatched in a laboratory. When I received the package I was excited to give the product a try.  Inside the box was a form of when to use the product.  It said to pour the package into 9 oz of water approximately 20 minutes prior to working out and that it should help the body for approximately two hours.  Since I drink water in the morning along with my Herbalife smoothie and coffee this was perfect.  Just add the powder to the water and now I was ready to rock and roll my workouts. The first thing I noticed was the taste.  It has a citrus taste to it which makes it easy to drink.  It was not gritty, nor was there any aftertaste.  Once I drank the 9 oz and got to my workouts I didn't feel any different and for me that was a plus. I got through all of my workouts, which included bike rides of 3+ hours followed by 40 minute runs, a 2 hour and 30 minute run as well as multiple swim sessions.  Each session went well and I did not feel as if my stomach wanted to revolt.  I also did not feel bloated, and I think that is because it is only 9 oz of water. I cannot endorse this product on the basis of my workouts going great that week because there are multiple factors involved.  I have changed my diet to be liquid in the morning and I have leaned out quite a bit.  I altered my diet and included the Orbana at the same time so I cannot say that the improved workouts were from Orbana alone, but I will say that I would continue to use Orbana, and the ingredients are why:

As you can see from the nutrition label it is loaded with carbohydrates, which is the fuel for our bodies to get your body ready for a workout.

For me, I would use this product in the mornings the way I did during testing.  This is something that you can also use during your activity, but for me this is more of a product to use in the morning alongside my smoothie and coffee.
